It supports municipalities in the difficult task of counteracting the consequences of economic and demographic change. In 2020, urban development funding was restructured and the "Stadtumbau West" funding program was replaced by "Lebendige Zentren" (Living Centers). The perimeter of the area has not changed.
Social cohesion (formerly Social City).
Priorities: Maintaining coexistence in the neighborhood; investments in the Bahnhofsviertel and Johann-Weiß-Strasse neighborhoods.
The "Socially Integrative City" urban development program has existed since 1999. Between 1999 and 2014, various projects were developed and implemented in the Bahnhofsviertel district of Hof. In 2020, urban development funding was restructured and the "Socially Integrative City" funding program was replaced by "Social Cohesion". In addition to the Hofer Bahnhofsviertel, this funding program has also applied to the new Johann-Weiß-Strasse neighborhood since 2020.
