The practical helper for parking in Hof
The Hof "Parkscheim-Heftla" is available at the Hof tourist information office, among other places. It is a practical aid for visitors to the city of Hof. It replaces the classic parking disc and helps to avoid incorrect parking disc settings. On around 70 pages, the booklet contains information on all free and paid parking areas, including opening hours, parking spaces for electric vehicles, parking options for the severely disabled, and parking for residents in the various parts of the city. First and foremost, however, the booklet contains various parking disc settings that can be placed behind the windshield of the car as needed.
The idea for this was born in the municipal regulatory service of the city of Hof: the employees working there found it a pity that often drivers had to be warned because the parking disc was apparently set incorrectly only due to a lack of knowledge.
Two examples: If someone parks at 9 a.m. with a maximum parking time of one hour, it is wrong to set the disc to 10 a.m.. It is equally wrong to park at 9:15 and try to set the disc to exactly that time, i.e. between two markings on the parking disc. The correct time would be 9:30 instead, since only full or half hours are allowed.
The printed parking discs now always provide the correct setting in the booklet. A red bar on the left side of the booklet tells you which side to lay out. To ensure that the backs of the parking discs are not left unused, they have been filled with lots of useful information. They also contain answers to recurring questions for the Municipal Public Order Service.
