Integrated urban development concept (ISEK)

Our city - our future. Shaping Hof together.

In 2006, the city of Hof adopted an integrated urban development concept (ISEK) for the first time. A lot has changed since then. It is now time to update and renew this concept. The focus is now on development up to the year 2040.

The concept is an 'integrated' one. It looks at many areas of life: Population and social structure, housing, economy and trade, culture and leisure, infrastructure and mobility, digitalization, urban development, green and open spaces, etc.

First, current data and forecasts on various topics are evaluated in a comprehensive analysis of the current situation. This is used to identify strengths and weaknesses as well as opportunities and risks for the city of Hof. Subsequently, the need for action and specific measures can be identified.

The concept serves as a basis for future individual decisions by the city council. It is also often a prerequisite for obtaining funding. It can also be used to continuously review future forecasts. By developing a comprehensive framework plan that takes into account all urban issues and formulates specific goals for the coming years, the aim is to create a sustainable and high-quality living space for everyone.

Get involved!

The ISEK thrives on the participation of urban society

The integrated urban development concept depends on your participation! The people of Hof are invited to contribute their perspectives, experiences and ideas several times over the next few months.
